An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join a large, fast-paced, and forward-thinking global logistics and supply chain organisation. This role plays a key part in managing and resolving transactional through to complex employee relations cases and supporting a high performing People Services team. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of on-site and remote working, offering exposure to both operational and strategic ER matters across multiple locations. Typically 3 / 4 days site based and WFH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse and complex ER caseload (approx. 40–50 cases) from start to resolution – including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, long-term sick, performance, and business exits.
  • Support and guide managers through sensitive processes and influence effective case outcomes.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on UK employment legislation and best practice.
  • Use case management systems to track and report trends, helping drive continuous improvement.
  • Potential to support training delivery for line managers.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and wider HR teams across multiple UK sites.
  • Contribute to key HR projects including TUPE, policy implementation and change initiatives.
  • Work in a unionised environment with a focus on employee engagement and compliance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong experience in handling complex and high volume ER cases end-to-end.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and practical HR/ER application.
  • Experience working in a unionised setting is essential.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards (desirable).
  • Comfortable influencing and advising senior managers.
  • Able to prioritise and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
