Job Title: Crane Engineer (Yard Based)Location: Rushden – Yard Based (Occasional Site Call-Outs)Salary: Up to £45,000 per annumHours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:30 / Friday 08:00–16:30Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service), Pension, Occasional overtime available, Full training providedJob Description:We have a fantastic opening for a Crane Engineer to join a well-established, reputable hire company based in Rushden. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in a supportive, close-knit team, where your contributions are valued, and full ongoing training is provided. The role is mostly yard-based, with occasional site call-outs.Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on cranes.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs.
  • Work independently and as part of the service team.
  • Support occasional site call-outs (company vehicle provided).
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Background in large plant or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Crane experience desirable but not essential (full training provided).
  • Strong mechanical skills (approx. 70% of workload) with some electrical knowledge.
  • Physically fit and confident working at height.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, and safety-conscious.
  • Full UK driving license.
