We are looking for a Workshop Foreman, to come onboard a well-established, reputable Powered Access organisation, with a strong national reach. As Workshop Foreman, you will lead the workshop and engineering team. The role will predominately be office based, with the expectation to be hands on technically when required. You will oversee the maintenance, inspection, and repair of MEWPs, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for hire. This role would ideally suit someone with previous supervisory experience across the Powered Access or Plant Hire industry, or someone with a strong engineering background looking to step up into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support workshop engineers and apprentices
- Plan and allocate work to meet operational deadlines
- Oversee PPMs, LOLER inspections, and repairs on powered access equipment
- Ensure compliance with HSE, LOLER, PUWER, and company H&S procedures
- Liaise with operations and hire teams to maximise fleet availability
About You
- Proven experience in the powered access or plant hire industry
- Strong technical knowledge of MEWPs or Plant Equipment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- IPAF and relevant engineering qualifications desirable
