The Role
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be a key driver of people operations across a complex, fast‑moving site. You will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, ensuring the workforce is aligned with the company's ambitious growth targets.
- Operational Excellence: Lead on complex ER case management, providing independent and legally sound advice.
- Compliance & Audit: Take a lead role in ensuring the site is "audit‑ready", maintaining the highest industry standards.
- Culture & Engagement: Champion an "open‑door" policy, maintaining a noteworthy culture centred on teamwork and honesty.
- Process Improvement: Actively challenge existing ways of working, suggesting technical and procedural advances to streamline the HR function.
- Recruitment & Talent: Manage direct recruitment at all levels while coaching managers on best practices and management capability.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: At least 2 years' experience at HR Officer/BP level within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and significant experience in handling complex ER investigations and grievances.
- Systems Savvy: Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills and experience with integrated HR/Payroll systems.
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 qualification is essential.
- Attributes: You must be a "people person" who can build relationships across all levels, from production line to senior leadership.
