HSE Recruitment Network have partnered with a manufacturing business in Stoke on Trent to find them a new HSE Coordinator. This role would be ideal for someone with a few years of Health and Safety experience who wants ownership of their own site, whilst working under a supportive MD and senior leadership team. This is a hands-on, shop floor focused role that is not just about maintaining the status quo, but about continuous improvement.

The business has a strong safety culture demonstrated by their ROSPA Awards, ISO 45001 accreditation and industry specific safety commitments. There is so much potential for the right person; if you come in with a positive hard-working attitude there are clear progression and mentoring opportunities.

The site itself has all the risks that you would expect to see in a manufacturing site: movement of goods/FLTs, racking and storage, manual handling, gas, heat, chemicals, machinery and maintenance workshops. This is a site-based role but does come with a 1.30pm finish on a Friday.

What we are looking for:

  • Hard working, positive attitude, engaging and able to influence
  • Someone comfortable being on the shop floor
  • Someone inquisitive, passionate, who shows they care
  • Firm but fair, confident to challenge the SLT, supervisors and shop floor staff
  • Hold a NEBOSH Certificate level qualification with a couple of years in a similar level HSE Advisor, coordinator or officer role
  • Experience working in manufacturing would be ideal and if you’ve come through the shop floor that would be advantageous.

Salary range is £ DOE. The interview process will be two stages, both in person, starting in early October. If you are interested in finding out more, please apply or reach out to.
