Opportunity: A new offshore vessel business is building its commercial function from a blank page. It’s backed by a fast-growing international shipping group. It has an accommodation vessel heading to West Africa for an oil major, a battery-hybrid PSV newbuild programme with options to reach six vessels, and a market where almost nobody else is ordering tonnage. The first commercial hire decides where these ships work, at what rate, and with whom.

The Impact:

  • Own chartering across the fleet, from first enquiry through to contract award
  • Win the contracts that establish the business in West Africa, Brazil and beyond
  • Move the business from broker-led enquiries towards direct relationships with operators, contractors and NOCs
  • Shape fleet decisions: what to buy, where to reposition, what a vessel must earn
  • Build the commercial team and pipeline as the fleet grows

What Success Looks Like:

  • Commercial or chartering experience with PSVs, AHTS or accommodation vessels
  • Charterer relationships that already take your call
  • Sharp on vessel economics: day rates, mobilisation, net return
  • Confident leading negotiations and charter terms with senior decision-makers
  • Productive from week one, and keen to shape a role that is still being written

What Is on Offer:

A direct line to the COO and CEO, quick decisions and a short, sharp hiring process. You get the finance, legal and HR support of a large group with the pace of a start-up, inside a group opening offices across Brazil, the UAE and beyond. All conversations are confidential.
