The Opportunity:
Our client designs and manufactures advanced electric propulsion and smart marine systems from its waterside facility on the River Hamble. Its technology powers commercial, defence, leisure and autonomous vessels as global demand accelerates for high performance electric alternatives. With production volumes increasing and external manufacturing partnerships being established, this appointment is commercially significant. The successful individual will not simply build units. They will help shape how a growing production function scales without compromising precision, safety or reputation.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Build complete propulsion systems across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical disciplines to exacting standards
- Commission and test finished products, including on water validation, ensuring performance before release
- Work directly with the Production Manager to refine assembly and maintenance processes as volumes increase
- Support transfer of production to an external facility, helping establish line set up and train technicians
- Protect quality control through accurate recording, certification and disciplined workshop standards
