Job Title: Senior Product Manager, Marine Insurance · Location: UK or Singapore (remote)
The Opportunity
A global maritime and commodities intelligence business already tracks the world’s fleet, who owns it, where it trades and what it carries. It now needs one person to turn that data into a new product for marine insurers, starting with exposure screening for insured fleets. The role is new, signed off and ready to start, at a moment when war risk, sanctions and accumulation top every marine underwriter’s agenda.
The Impact You Will Have
- Own the product outright: strategy, roadmap, first release and go-to-market.
- Define how underwriters, brokers and P&I clubs see exposure and accumulation across the live global fleet.
- Set the exposure methodology the market comes to trust.
- Take the product from customer discovery to launch within six months, with a dedicated team of 3-4 engineers.
What Success Looks Like
- 5+ years in product or senior commercial roles, with genuine exposure to marine insurance, shipping or maritime data.
- A record of building something from nothing, not only running something established.
- Fluency with AIS, ownership and trade-flow data, and the technical depth to earn engineers’ respect.
- The presence to hold a room of underwriters, brokers and senior colleagues.
