The Opportunity

As USV Technical Superintendent, this individual will take ownership of the technical performance and reliability of a pioneering fleet of uncrewed surface vessels. Working across newbuild delivery, maintenance strategy, drydock planning and technical assurance, they will play a critical role in ensuring assets remain operational, safe and commercially effective in a fast-evolving environment.
The Impact You Will Have
- Drive the technical integrity and operational readiness of a cutting-edge autonomous vessel fleet
- Minimise downtime through proactive maintenance, rapid fault resolution and effective supplier management
- Influence fleet performance through technical leadership, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead drydock, refit and inspection activities that support long-term asset reliability
- Contribute directly to the successful delivery and scaling of next-generation maritime operations
What Success Looks Like
- Significant experience as a Technical Superintendent or Vessel Manager within a marine environment
- Strong marine engineering expertise with the credibility to support engineers, technicians and operational teams
- Calm and effective decision making when resolving complex technical challenges
- A collaborative approach combined with the confidence to challenge and improve existing practices
