Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Remote, with occasional office visits as required

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team. This role involves driving business growth, opening new opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with key clients in the maritime industry. The successful candidate will be a proactive salesperson with a strong technical sales background and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand customer base.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK and, potentially, Scotland and other regions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new clients such as ship owners and ship management companies.
  • Work closely with the Senior Sales Manager and report directly to the Director of Sales.
  • Coordinate with back-office sales team to ensure customers' needs are met promptly and effectively.
  • Attend regular team meetings and provide updates on sales progress and market developments.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field sales, preferably within the marine electronics or a related technical sales environment.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a valid driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000, with flexibility for candidates with exceptional industry experience.
  • Bonus scheme offering up to 6% based on meeting regional and global sales targets, with potential discretionary bonus.
  • Travel allowance of 45p per mile up to the first 10,000 miles.
  • Company car option available if required.
