We are representing a hands-on owner–manager with a fleet of tankers, container ships, and bulk carriers. Unlike third-party managers, they operate directly on the owner’s side, giving its teams full accountability and impact across every aspect of vessel operations and performance. The company culture is fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive, where each individual plays a meaningful part in operational excellence and safety performance.
What will you be doing?
- Conducting shipboard ISM, ISPS, and navigational audits to maintain vessel accreditation
- Leading incident investigations and preparing safety and compliance reports
- Supporting vessels on marine and cargo-related matters, including tank cleaning and vetting
- Coordinating vetting activities and maintaining accurate records
- Driving continuous improvement in safety management, risk mitigation, and crew welfare
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Former Deck Officer - Bulk Carrier or Container background preferred, tanker also considered. Open to both junior officers & senior officers, as we are willing to train someone up if needed!
- A solid understanding of ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and MLC frameworks - Would be a big plus!
- Strong communicator, proactive problem-solver, and analytical thinker
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and able to thrive in a hands-on environment
- Comfortable with periodic international travel for vessel visits
