The Opportunity
Our client is a fast scaling maritime intelligence software company at the centre of global trade, using satellite powered geospatial data and advanced AI to help governments and commercial operators see, understand and act on what is happening at sea. Their platform is used by some of the most demanding organisations in security, compliance and maritime commerce. They are now building a dedicated data acquisition and partnerships function and hiring a senior London based leader to own and expand their global ecosystem of satellite and geospatial data providers. This role will sit close to the executive team, shaping how RF, EO and SAR partners are selected, contracted and integrated, and turning those strategic relationships into a competitive advantage for the product and a growth engine for the business.
The Impact You Will Have
- Own the global portfolio of satellite and geospatial data vendors and turn it into a structured, scalable and commercially disciplined asset.
- Design and implement the operating framework that enables delivery of a rapidly growing, high value satellite data pipeline without loss of quality or control.
- Turn flagship partners with large salesforces and customer bases into effective routes to market for the company’s maritime products.
- Challenge pricing, rights and commercial constructs to improve unit economics and secure multi year agreements that support aggressive growth targets.
- Become the internal authority on satellite vendor strategy, shaping product, sales and investment decisions alongside the London based leadership team.
What Success Looks Like
- Proven record of leading complex partnerships or vendor portfolios in data intensive or satellite adjacent markets, with clear numbers that show impact.
- Confident managing senior counterparts in large vendors while maintaining operational rigour around provisioning, delivery and performance.
- Able to simplify complex geospatial or data licensing issues for non specialists and drive decisions quickly.
- Comfortable building structure in ambiguity and working at the pace of a high-growth environment where priorities and technology evolve fast.
- Intellectually strong, commercially sharp and motivated by the chance to create a new global capability rather than inherit a finished machine.
What Is on Offer
This role sits at the centre of the company’s growth thesis and reports directly into London based leadership with regular exposure to the executive conversations. The successful hire will have the remit to shape process, influence future team build out in Europe and the US and play a visible part in how nine figure satellite data investments are deployed. For a high performer, this can evolve into a broader global leadership remit as the vendor ecosystem and revenue scale.
