Our client has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Technical Director to join the team and help drive their significant growth plans.
About The Company:
Our client is a long-established UK designer and manufacturer of a variety of mechanical products including shafts, leadscrews, actuators and levers. They hold a great reputation within the aerospace and wider industrial manufacturing space and have a strong commitment towards innovation, precision and customer service. The company has strong ambitions to double the size of the business within the next 3-5 years, with a current turnover of £20M and over 100 people at their site. They are looking for a Technical Director with a new and proactive leadership style to drive the engineering function forward with innovative ideas to support their expansion.
Technical Director – The Role:
The role will take ownership of developing new products, delivering a highly skilled engineering department as well as challenging the current state of affairs with innovative ideas. It will also create a high performing culture, operating autonomously as part of their senior leadership team, playing a key role in driving the business forward.
Technical Director – Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team on a day-to-day basis
- Identify new opportunities and increase market share by using existing knowledge within the industry
- Ensure engineering specifications and quality levels are achieved
- Develop lasting relationships with engineering partners within internal stakeholders and existing and target base
Technical Director – You:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience within the mechanical manufacturing industry at a senior level
- Degree level qualification in engineering
- Ambition to challenge the status quo and use innovation
- Express enthusiasm and a positive driven attitude to support and drive the expansion
