Environmental Services Technician β 37 hours per week, Β£13.26 per hour. Monday-Friday 07:30 - 15:15 and/or 07:30-15:30.
Responsibilities:
- Door to door refuse and recycling collections, involving emptying waste bins/containers from both residential and trade properties.
- Bulky waste collections (larger household items, i.e. fridges, sofas, mattresses and beds) from a range of premises.
- Identifying contaminated waste within recycling bins and removing it prior to the waste being transported to the processing plant.
- Recording relevant data in relation to your service, i.e. overloaded bins, bins not presented for collection, contaminated bins.
- Working in a team as part of the vehicle crew which includes a driver and usually one other loader.
- Playing an essential part in improving the recycling rate in our city.
- Bin/container deliveries to various properties and premises.
