Environmental Operative Monday to Friday Purpose of the Post: Routine horticultural, cleansing and development of alleys and all places and spaces including any other grounds being maintained or developed by the Environment Services. Duties and Responsibilities: Be part of a flexible Area Care Team that is responsible for the horticultural & cleansing, of alleys, soft landscape works and minor structural works in Middlesbrough. Work across the full range of activities within Area Care and be willing to work throughout Middlesbrough. Participate in training to meet duties and responsibilities of this post. Contribute to the problem solving of environmental problems within the Area Care team. Carry out all Cleansing and Horticultural works and minor Arboricultural works as necessary across the places and spaces maintained by Environment Services. Use of pedestrianised equipment. Drive light vehicles, equipment and operate light plant and tools as required. Over-marking and setting out of sports facilities. Painting of play equipment and other Street furniture where required. Chemical control of weeds with minimum supervision but to comply with the current Pesticide Regulations. Snow clearing/salting footpaths.Responsibility for relevant HSE/COSHH. Interested Please apply
