We have a vacancy for a Building Surveyor to work within our Area Surveying team. The Area Surveyors attend our customers' homes to inspect reported defects, agree repairs, arrange equipment and order materials to facilitate the completion of work.
The Area Surveying team are required to have extensive knowledge of building defects, able to identify defects, causes of water ingress and remedy causes of damp. We have a zero tolerance approach to mould across our housing stock, and this role will support us in our approach to damp/mould/condensation.
Candidates will be required to work from the Office in South Shields, must have a full UK driving license and vehicle by business use insurance. Mileage allowance will be paid.
Must have an HNC or equivalent in a relevant field of study, asbestos awareness training, working at height training, and manual handling training.
