Who we are: Executive Channel Network (ECN) forms part of the Executive Channel Holdings group, with offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg & Sydney. ECN is a digital screen network which connects asset and brand partners with a European workplace audience. In Europe, over 800 digital screens are deployed in over 500 premium office towers.
Primary Objectives: Germany is ECN’s fastest growing and newest market. As a result, a Management Accountant position has become available in ECN’s London office for a German speaking accountant. This position will have primary responsibility of the German market which is currently being managed from London. The role involves working closely with the Group Financial Controller and Group Finance Director, both based in London.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily Tasks:
- Accounts Payable - processing and management of supplier invoices; organizing payment runs; ensuring all supplier invoices are appropriately authorised for payment; being a point of contact for suppliers.
- Accounts Receivable - issuing of monthly invoices; ongoing management of outstanding receipts (debt collection); ensuring regular account statements are sent to clients.
- Bank Reconciliation - daily reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Monthly Reporting - assist in preparation of monthly management reports by strict deadlines; variance analysis; preparation and posting of monthly accruals & prepayments including rebates and revenue share accruals; revenue reconciliation.
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Expenses and Credit Cards - monthly processing of staff expense claims and credit card statements; posting to Netsuite accounting system.
- Reporting - provision of financial information to assist internal stakeholders in this market, including the Head of Sales, Asset Director and Head of Operations/Networks.
- Compliance - assistance with company compliance obligations including the year end audit and monthly VAT returns.
- Fixed Assets Management - working with the operations department to track, monitor and report on fixed assets including stock management.
- Assist in any ad-hoc accounting duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Must have an accounting degree / qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience.
- Ideally experience with multiple currencies & subsidiaries.
- Experience with Netsuite accounting system ideal, but not necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel.
- Experienced in problem solving.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to work autonomously and in a team well.
