DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
As the Business Development Executive you will develop and grow the Druva long tail partner accounts and qualify potential new partners. This is an internal role with the ability to work externally and meet customers, the key objective of this role is to increase New Business and upsell new opportunities in the current and new partner base.
As the Business Development Executive, you will:
- Adhere to KPI’s around SLA’s, call stats/time, financial and productivity targets
- Be responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets
- Profile organisations and individuals through various means (LinkedIn etc.)
- Uncover and explore new opportunities across new channels to increase market share
- Arrange face to face meetings (for EXN/ Druva CAM) with potential/existing Partners to enable the Druva partner program and develop EXN Capabilities
- Help drive enablement and meetings into the Exclusive Druva BDM
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the Druva Portfolio and the EXN Services offering, to present to aligned partners
- Forecast and manage key deals, working with finance and credit where necessary
- Drive attendance to key sales and technical days as well as webinars in the events calendar, supporting with content/presence when required
- Manage and maintain the proactive tracker to show progress in aligned accounts
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
The ideal Business Development Executive:
- Have experience in a Sales and Account Management role ideally within the IT industry
- Be proactive and responsive ensuring leads are followed up and managed effectively
- Have strong communication skills, with good telephone manner
- Proven negotiation skills and demonstrable ability to use influencing skills to close business and sell additional products and services
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Exceptional administrative skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Be engaging and hold strong relationships both internally and externally
- Take responsibility for personal development with a strong desire to work to and surpass targets
- Have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Ability to problem solve, identifying a client’s needs and respond accordingly
- Self-starter who can motivate themselves and takes a positive approach to sales
- Be proactive with a proven track record of successful new business sales and account management capabilities
- Willing to travel to customer sites and events
