A warm and busy private household in Notting Hill is seeking an experienced and highly organised Chef / All-rounder to join their team. The family consists of two parents and three children. The household is fully staffed with an existing housekeeper and a full-time nanny, and the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth running of the home. The primary responsibility of the role is planning, shopping for, and preparing healthy, balanced meals for the family, while also assisting with general household duties and supporting other staff members when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the family, focusing on balanced, home-cooked food suitable for both adults and children
- Develop weekly menus with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients, healthy nutritious cooking, and family-friendly sharing platters
- Prepare dinners, and occasional lunches or snacks for the children
- Shop for groceries and fresh produce, ensuring high-quality ingredients are always available
- Maintain a well-organised and fully stocked kitchen, pantry, and fridge
- Accommodate dietary preferences and encourage healthy eating habits within the family
- Occasionally cook for guests or small family gatherings
Household Support
- Work collaboratively with the existing housekeeper and nanny
- Assist with light housekeeping duties when required
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the household
- Step in to assist other staff members during busy periods or when additional help is needed
Driving & Errands
- Confident driver required for food shopping, errands, and occasional school or activity-related driving
