Position: Part-time Live-out Laundress Location: Holland Park
Our client is seeking an experienced and professional Part-time, Live-out Laundress to join their household in Holland Park. The ideal candidate will take primary responsibility for all laundry and clothing care, ensuring garments, linens, and soft furnishings are maintained to the highest standard. You will work closely with the Head Housekeeper to support the smooth running of the household.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling all laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and steaming clothing and linens
- Wardrobe management, including careful storage, labelling, and minor garment repairs
- Caring for delicate fabrics, fine linens, and household textiles
- Changing bed linen and towels as required
- Assisting with general tidying and organisation of laundry areas
- Supporting deep cleaning tasks as required (eg, curtains, upholstery)
- Running ad hoc household errands related to laundry or garment care
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar laundress or household laundry role with excellent references
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding fabric care and garment presentation
- Highly organised, efficient, and able to prioritise tasks independently
- Professional, discreet, and personable at all times
- Comfortable working both independently and under the guidance of the Head Housekeeper
- Animal-friendly and confident around small pets
- Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Semi-formal household
