Overview
We are seeking an experienced, adaptable, and discreet Housekeeper / Cook to support a female principal within a fully staffed private household. The principal is primarily based in South Kensington, London, and spends approximately 4–5 months per year in California (typically mid-January to mid-May, and again over Thanksgiving). There is also a summer stay at the family’s villa in Greece. International travel with the principal is required as part of the role. The household is well organised and supported with established staff. The principal is known for being warm, respectful, and considerate, ensuring her team is well looked after and provided with comfortable accommodation when travelling. Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the home to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation
- Laundry care, including washing, ironing and wardrobe management
- Ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas are consistently well presented
- Coordinating with other household staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Managing household supplies and liaising with suppliers as required
- Preparing small, healthy, organic meals for the principal
- Ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organised
- Occasional cooking for the principal’s three adult sons when visiting
