A warm and welcoming first-time mother based in Kensington is seeking an experienced, flexible, and professional Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper to support the smooth running of her private household and assist with the care of her 1-year-old son. The family are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who is happy to help wherever needed and who genuinely enjoys working within a family environment. They must also be a team player, as there is a part-time Nanny and Housekeeper.
The property is arranged across two floors, with the mother and child primarily based upstairs, while the successful candidate will have accommodation downstairs consisting of a private bedroom, private bathroom, and access to a kitchenette. The role will primarily involve early starts, usually around 7:00/8:00am through to mid-afternoon, with occasional babysitting and flexibility required depending on the family’s schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping duties throughout the home
- Cleaning, tidying, hoovering, mopping, and dusting
- Laundry and wardrobe management
- Making beds and changing bed linen
- Maintaining high standards of organisation and cleanliness
- Running household errands as required
- Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the household
- Assisting with the daily care and wellbeing of the 1-year-old child
- Supporting with morning routines and getting the child ready for the day
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- Maintaining the child’s bedroom, toys, and belongings
- Supporting age-appropriate routines and activities
- Providing occasional sole-charge care when required
- Babysitting on occasion as requested by the Principal
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working within private households
- Confident caring for toddlers and able to provide sole charge when needed
- Warm, nurturing, and energetic approach
- Flexible, proactive, and happy to assist where needed
- Strong housekeeping skills and attention to detail
- Fluent English preferred; French beneficial
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Enhanced DBS preferred
- Driving licence beneficial but not essential
