Overview: A professional and experienced Nanny/Housekeeper/Cook is required to support a working single mother and her 2.5-year-old son in Highgate. This is a long-term role combining sole-charge childcare with household support. From March, the child will attend nursery for half-days (Monday–Thursday).
- Sole-charge care of a 2.5-year-old boy
- Nursery drop-offs and pick-ups (15-minute walk)
- Ensuring the child’s safety, wellbeing, and emotional security
- Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities and creative play
- Preparing and serving nutritious, homemade meals
- Caring for the child when unwell and unable to attend nursery
- Maintaining open and clear communication with the mother regarding all aspects of the child’s care
Housekeeping Duties (During Nursery Hours):
- Grocery shopping
- Cooking well-balanced and nutritious meals
- Laundry and ironing
- Tidying, organising, and maintaining the household
- Light cleaning and general household duties
Candidate Requirements:
- Warm, loving, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about childcare
- Clean, hygienic, tidy, and well-organised
- Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy
- Proactive with good initiative
- Attentive and observant to the child’s needs and development
- Enhanced DBS check
- Proven experience working with toddlers
- Experience with potty training
- Willingness to take on additional paid hours (evenings, Fridays or weekends with notice)
- Experience using a Thermomix or willingness to learn
Additional Information:
- No smoking, alcohol, or screen time during working hours
- The property is fitted with security cameras (excluding bathrooms and toilets)
