A professional family based in Canterbury (Kent) are seeking a reliable, part-time Nanny to care for their three young children (8 months, 2, and 5) during weekends only. The family are open to live-in or live-out, offering a single occupancy flat above their home garage. A full-time Nanny (Monday-Friday) is employed, alongside a full-time Housekeeper. There are also two large dogs within the household. The majority of the time you would be working alongside the parents but there will be occasions where sole charge is required.
Responsibilities
- Providing age-appropriate care and nursery duties
- Ensuring the children’s safety at all times
- Planning, supervising, and engaging in creative and stimulating activities
- Maintaining routines and encouraging early learning developmental milestones
- Preparing snacks and light meals
- Basic household chores
- Ad hoc duties and child-related errands
- Driving children to play dates and appointments
- Very occasional travel, weekends away with the family
Candidate requirements
- Must have up-to-date DBS and paediatric first aid
- Must hold a UK driving license (car provided for work purposes)
- Experience working with private families and with children of a similar age
- Highly reliable, organised, and flexible with duties – happy to help where needed (informal household)
- Energetic and motivated, following a healthy and active lifestyle would be desirable as the family enjoy spending a lot of time in the surrounding countryside; going on long walks and bike rides
- Comfortable with large dogs in the home

- Working days: Saturdays and Sundays
- Working hours: 8 hours per day – no late finishes
- Location: Outskirts of Canterbury, Kent (rural location)
