Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised live-in or live-out Houseman to manage the daily operations of a seven-bedroom residence in the grounds of Hampton Court Deer Park.

The Houseman will be responsible for maintaining the residence to an exceptional standard, overseeing contractors, and providing high-quality service to the principal and, when they visit, his family (4 year old daughter and her mother).

The principal travels extensively, and flexibility is required when he is in residence.

Key Responsibilities

Household & Property Management

  • Maintain the residence to an extremely high standard
  • Laundry, ideally with experience of specialist clothing care as many garments are hand-wash only
  • Prepare basic meals when principal is in residence
  • Serve meals and drinks with table service where required (when Chef is absent)
  • Arrange fresh flowers throughout the properties
  • Pack and unpack luggage for the principal’s frequent travels
  • Conduct grocery shopping choosing organic, high-quality produce

  • Mature, able to handle responsibility, and be trusted to work without supervision
  • A proactive, adaptable, and service-oriented attitude
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Emotionally intelligent with excellent initiative
  • A valid UK driving licence

This role is ideal for a discreet and professional Houseman with the ability to maintain a household in exceptional working order, manage several moving parts, and create a lovely and organised home atmosphere for the principal and his family.

Working Hours: Full time with flexibility to work additional hours when the principal is in residence.
