A busy and welcoming family of five, based just outside Canterbury, Kent, is seeking a proactive and experienced Live-in Nanny/Housekeeper. The household consists of two principals, two boys aged 7 and 4, a 4-month old girl, and a friendly cat.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Full Nanny duties, including supporting daily routines and engaging the children in age-appropriate activities; the 7 year old is only there 3 nights a week
- Occasional proxy parenting
- Sole and shared care of the children
- School/nursery runs (in the future)
- Light meal preparation for the children (occasional)
- General housekeeping duties including: Cleaning and tidying communal and children’s areas; Laundry and ironing
- Maintaining stock of household and cleaning supplies
- One night of babysitting per week (weeknight)
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced, confident, and nurturing with young children, including babies
- Flexible, adaptable, and easy-going
- A team player – happy to work alongside parents
- Warm, professional, and discreet
- Holds a full, clean UK driving licence
Days & Hours:
Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday, full-time. Nanny-focused hours when children are at home; housekeeping hours during school/nursery time. Breaks during the day.
Accommodation:
Private bedroom provided. The family is currently converting the stables into private accommodation adjacent to the main house with a separate entrance – offering excellent privacy and space.
