Our clients, a warm and welcoming family of four based in Radlett, Hertfordshire - just 40 minutes from Central London via direct train to St Pancras - are seeking an experienced and confident Live-in Housekeeper to step into a well-established role within their home.

Their current Housekeeper, who has been a trusted member of the household for the past 8 years, is now retiring, and they are keen to find someone who can continue to provide the same high standard of care and attention to detail.

The property is a 15,000 sq ft family home spread across four floors, including an outdoor pool, which becomes a hub of activity in the summer months with frequent visits from friends and extended family. With two active teenage boys and three miniature dachshunds, the home is lively and informal. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic household where no two days are quite the same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily cleaning, tidying, and presentation of all main living areas and bedrooms
  • Full housekeeping duties, including laundry, ironing, and care of towels and linens — especially during the busier summer months
  • Feeding and occasional walking of the family’s dogs
  • General household organisation and upkeep
  • Working closely with a live-out, part-time Housekeeper (four days a week)
  • Occasional assistance during informal dinner parties or events (infrequent)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Confident managing a large property (15,000 sq ft with outdoor amenities)
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Flexible and calm in a busy environment with teenagers and visiting guests
  • Comfortable working around dogs and handling light pet care
  • Experienced in a similar private household role
  • Friendly, discreet, and a team player who enjoys working collaboratively
  • Right to work in the UK

Accommodation is provided in a private, self-contained studio on the top floor of the house, complete with its own kitchen and living space, offering comfort, independence, and privacy.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone seeking a long-term position in a supportive, energetic, and family-oriented home.
