We are searching for a Live-in Butler to work in a beautiful castle in the heart of Fife, Scotland. There are no live-in principals, the castle is rented out on a fully exclusive basis to guests. The team consists of a Castle Management Couple, a Business Manager, 2 Housekeepers, 2 Gardeners, 2 Maintenance/Handymen, and Private Chefs are bought in to help with larger bookings.
Duties include:
- Drinks service
- Table setting
- Afternoon tea service
- Champagne reception
- Security (locking up, lights off etc)
- Assistance in the gardens
- Assisting the housekeeping team
- Silver cupboard management
The working hours are very varied when guests are in depending on requirements but breaks will be taken throughout the day/evening to work around the guest itineraries. When there are no guests, the hours will be from 9.00am-5.00pm generally but this is also flexible. There will be two days off each week.
Accommodation: 1 bed furnished flat consisting of king bedroom, large living room, kitchen, and large bathroom with shower – all bills covered.
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 gross per annum.
