We are seeking a professional, discreet, and highly reliable Private Driver / Operational Specialist to support a family with their personal and business transportation needs across the UK, with a main base of St James's Park in London. The role combines premium driving services with logistical and operational support, ensuring seamless mobility and the smooth management of the family’s vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Transportation
- Provide safe, punctual, and courteous driving services for family members to business meetings, social events, schools, airports, and other destinations.
- Anticipate routes, check traffic conditions, and plan journeys efficiently to ensure timely arrivals.
- Conduct occasional out-of-hours drives (airport transfers, events, etc), compensated with additional pay.
- Fleet Management
- Oversee the care and maintenance of the family’s car, motorbike, and bicycle fleet.
- Manage servicing schedules, MOTs, insurance renewals, tax, and registration documentation.
- Ensure all vehicles are kept in immaculate condition, both inside and out, and always ready for use.
- Coordinate with service providers for repairs, cleaning, detailing, and periodic checks.
- Operational & Household Support
- Perform ad-hoc pick‑ups and deliveries of goods, documents, and parcels as required.
- Provide logistical support for household tasks such as assisting with moves, handling deliveries, or other practical errands (ad‑hoc).
- Work collaboratively as part of a two‑driver team to ensure full coverage of planned schedules and ad‑hoc requirements (including holiday or sickness cover).
Requirements
- Full, clean UK car and motorbike driving licence.
- Professional driving experience in a private, corporate, or chauffeur role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of London and wider UK road networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; calm and courteous under pressure.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and care standards.
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional unscheduled tasks and extended hours (additional pay provided).
- First aid training and/or defensive driving certification.
- Basic technical knowledge of modern vehicle systems and electric vehicles.
- Familiarity with luxury car brands and high-performance vehicles.
