A lovely family based in Beaconsfield New Town is seeking a warm, capable and highly organised Nanny/Housekeeper to support their family and home on a permanent, full-time, live-out basis. The ideal candidate will be confident caring for babies and young children, with previous experience and a genuine understanding of their needs. Alongside childcare, the role will involve keeping the home clean, organised and running smoothly, with some light cooking and meal preparation.
The family is looking for someone who is independent, discreet, proactive and trustworthy, who can take initiative and manage tasks without needing close supervision. There will be times when Mum needs space to continue with her day-to-day activities, so the ability to work confidently and respectfully within the household is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Sole charge care of both children when required
- Taking the children to parks, walks and age-appropriate activities
- Taking the children to nursery
- Putting the baby down for naps
- Playing and engaging with the children
- Nappy changing and general baby care
- Planning age-appropriate activities
- General support around the home and with the children
- Meal preparation for the children and family as needed
- Full cleaning of the home, including bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen
- Changing bed linen and managing household laundry
- Folding and putting away clothes
- Cleaning and organising the fridge and pantry
- Keeping the home tidy and completing an end-of-day house reset
- Monitoring household supplies and organising restocking
- Taking out bins and managing recycling
- Seasonal household tasks, such as bringing out Christmas decorations or summer cushions
- Basic plant care
- Keeping household systems organised and running efficiently
- Identifying maintenance requirements and flagging these to the family or arranging minor tasks where appropriate
- General food preparation as required
- Ideally, preparing simple family meals such as traybakes
- Grocery shopping and other household errands
- Refuelling or charging the family car
