Overview
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and proactive Housekeeper/Cook to join a warm and well-organised private household in Chelsea. The family includes two principals, their 1 year old girl (cared for by a full-time Nanny), and two affectionate cats. You will work alongside the existing full-time Housekeeper on a 4 day rota system. Excellent communication, a cooperative mindset, and a consistently high standard of care are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping duties: cleaning, tidying, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining high standards across all six floors
- Laundry and ironing, including care for delicate, designer, and high-end garments
- Changing bed linens and ensuring household organisation is maintained
- Preparing simple, healthy, family-style meals (Mediterranean preferred)
- Running light errands and providing flexible support where needed
- Working closely with the other Housekeeper to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Supporting the smooth running of a well-managed and respectful home
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in private households, ideally with longevity in previous roles
- Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills with a high attention to detail
- Trustworthy, discreet, and professional with a positive, can-do attitude
- Confident and friendly around pets, especially cats
- Good level of spoken and written English preferred
- A strong team player with clear communication and a collaborative approach
- Flexible, dependable, and looking for a long-term position
