A career in hospitality – where every detail tells a story. Lainston House in Winchester, a part of the Exclusive Collection, is a 17th-century country house full of character and charm. With its walled kitchen garden, cookery school and award-winning dining, it is a place where heritage, authenticity and exceptional hospitality come together to create memorable guest experiences. You will join us as a Food & Beverage Placement student, undertaking a one-year rotational placement across our Food & Beverage operation. This role offers hands-on experience across our restaurants, bar and conference & banqueting spaces, giving you a broad understanding of hospitality operations while developing practical skills in service, guest interaction and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
- Rotate across Food & Beverage outlets including restaurants, bar and conference & banqueting
- Deliver warm, attentive service to guests across a variety of dining and event settings
- Develop strong product knowledge in food and beverage offerings
- Support restaurant and bar service, including table service and guest interaction
- Assist with conference and event setup, service and breakdown
- Support banquet service including plated meals, canapé receptions and drinks service
- Assist with conference refreshments, buffets and meeting room setups
- Follow service standards, health & safety and food hygiene procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members across departments
What We’re Looking For
- Currently studying a relevant degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management
- Passion for delivering positive guest experiences
- Interest and enthusiasm for Food & Beverage operations
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with guests and colleagues
- Willingness to learn, rotate across departments and take on new challenges
- Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential
