Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct high-quality site show rounds, building strong client relationships and supporting conversion of business opportunities.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practice to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Take responsibility for the smooth running of the Events office in the absence of the Event Manager, ensuring priorities are managed effectively and business continuity is maintained.
  • Effectively manage events for the hotel, collating all relevant information and assist clients in all event planning stages.
  • Support departmental projects and initiatives designed to improve guest satisfaction, revenue performance, and colleague engagement.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to up-sell and maximise event revenue whilst enhancing the guest experience.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in event management within a luxury hotel or venue environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and event planning processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Experience leading meetings and presenting information clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to take ownership and make decisions in the absence of management.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a focus on conversion, upselling, and revenue generation.
  • Competent user of event management systems (HART preferred).
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to coach and support the development of colleagues.
