Job Introduction

Pennyhill Park in Bagshot, Surrey, part of the Exclusive Collection, is a luxury hotel known for its elegance and attention to detail.

Home to a Michelin-star restaurant and world-class service, it is a place where excellence and attention to detail define every experience.

You will join as an Events Sales Manager to lead the Events Sales team, ensuring all events within the hotel are planned to the highest of standards, guiding the client through all stages of event management, upselling all events to set targets.

To drive and close every sales opportunity for the hotel, clearly demonstrating best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to anticipate and exceed client expectations, delivering a seamless and memorable event experience
  • Coach and develop the team in both event management and sales techniques
  • Ensure effective workload management across the team, promoting efficiency and best use of systems
  • Support event creation through high-quality show rounds and client interactions to drive conversion
  • Actively contribute to HOD meetings, strategy sessions and wider business initiatives
  • Day-to-day management of the Events team, setting priorities and driving performance
  • Build strong relationships across all departments to ensure seamless event execution
  • Oversee event management across the team, ensuring accurate and thorough planning at all stages
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and guest experience
  • Support commercial decision-making, including pricing and business mix
  • Take accountability for team performance, including conversion, revenue and guest satisfaction
  • Drive revenue through effective upselling and maximising event opportunities
  • Ensure guest feedback is reviewed, actioned, and opportunities for repeat business are maximised
  • Promote sister properties and wider business opportunities
  • Support initiatives aligned with B Corp values and sustainable practices

Person Specification

  • Experience in an Events Manager or senior events role within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, wedding and private dining events
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Commercially minded with a focus on revenue and upselling
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities effectively
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends
