You will join as a Linen Porter, playing an essential role in supporting our Housekeeping operation. By ensuring the efficient collection, distribution and organisation of linen across the hotel, you will help maintain the exceptional standards our guests expect and contribute to the smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, count and distribute clean linen across guest accommodation and operational departments
  • Gather and transport used linen to designated collection points in line with housekeeping procedures
  • Maintain linen stores, ensuring they remain clean, organised and adequately stocked
  • Monitor linen levels and report shortages, damages or quality concerns to the Housekeeping management team
  • Support room attendants and the wider housekeeping team with linen replenishment and operational requirements
  • Safely operate linen carts and equipment, following manual handling guidelines at all times
  • Assist with waste removal, stock movement and general housekeeping support duties as required
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, COSHH regulations and company standards

Person Specification

  • Reliable and hardworking with a positive, team‑focused attitude
  • Able to carry out physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing and moving linen bags and carts
  • Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Flexible and willing to support different areas of the Housekeeping department when required
  • Punctual, dependable and committed to maintaining high standards
  • Previous housekeeping, laundry or linen room experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
