Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a Qualified Teacher to work within a specialist school in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool. This role is to start immediately and is offered on a full-time basis. The school supports students with complex needs, and the successful candidate will be confident working in a nurturing and structured environment.
Students are working at a primary level, so the role will involve delivering engaging, sensory-based lessons tailored to meet a wide range of individual needs. The school will consider both Primary and Secondary trained teachers for this position.
Responsibilities of a Qualified Teacher include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, sensory-based lessons suited to students working at a primary level
- Supporting pupils with complex needs, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles
- Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Managing and supporting students with challenging behaviour effectively
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress regularly
- Working closely with support staff and other professionals to meet students’ needs
To be considered for this Qualified Teacher role, you must:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or BA Hons with QTS)
- Be eligible to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have prior experience working with children, ideally within SEN or complex needs settings
- Be confident delivering sensory-based and differentiated lessons
- Have strong behaviour management skills and experience working with challenging students
- Be adaptable, patient, and committed to supporting students with additional needs
- Provide two professional references covering the last 2 years (ideally involving work with children)
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
