Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an Art Teacher to join a dynamic Secondary School in the Liverpool area. This role is to start immediately and is offered on a full-time basis. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to take over classes and deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role will involve working with some challenging students, so strong classroom management skills are essential.

Responsibilities of an Art Teacher include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Encouraging creativity and artistic expression through a variety of media and techniques
  • Creating a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning
  • Managing and supporting students with challenging behaviour effectively
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress regularly
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students

To be considered for this Art Teacher role, you must:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or BA Hons with QTS)
  • Be eligible to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have prior experience working with children
  • Have teaching experience in Art across KS3 and KS4
  • Have strong behaviour management skills and experience working with challenging students
  • Provide two professional references covering the last 2 years (ideally involving work with children)
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
