About the opportunity
- What you'll do
- Own paid channel strategy and execution. Coordinate with the marketing and sales team to plan, build, and manage paid campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, and other programmatic channels. You'll set the strategy, run the campaigns, and optimise continuously for pipeline and cost efficiency.
- Drive pipeline and revenue impact. Work closely with the sales and channel teams to understand pipeline targets and ensure paid activity is generating the right volume and quality of leads. You'll be accountable for metrics that matter, CPL, CAC, MQL-to-SQL conversion, and pipeline generation and influence.
- Manage and optimise budget. Own the performance marketing budget. Allocate spend across channels based on performance data, forecast accurately, and report on ROI to senior stakeholders.
- Test, learn, and iterate. Run structured A/B tests across ad creative, work with our Website & CRO team to optimise landing pages, and test new audience segments. Build a culture of continuous improvement backed by data, not instinct.
- Collaborate on messaging impact. Create a data led feedback loop with the wider Marketing, Sales, Channel & Product teams to provide clear guidelines on messaging that attracts and engages our ICPs and existing customer base.
- Own performance reporting. Work with our Data & Analytics team on performance marketing analytics and reporting. Translate data into insight and recommendations, not just charts.
- Manage agency relationships. Where external agencies or freelancers support paid activity, manage those relationships to deliver quality output within budget.
What we're looking for
- Experience
- 5+ years in a performance marketing role, ideally within B2B SaaS or technology.
- Proven track record of managing significant paid media budgets (£1m+ per year) with measurable pipeline impact.
- Hands-on platform experience across Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Meta Ads Manager.
- Experience working within a demand generation framework and understanding of the full B2B funnel.
- Skills
- Strong analytical ability, comfortable in GA4, HubSpot, Salesforce, Hockeystack (or equivalent CRM), and Excel or BI tools.
- Confident interpreting data to make spend and strategy decisions.
- Solid understanding of B2B buyer journeys and how paid activity fits within different GTM motions.
- Experience with landing page optimisation and A/B testing.
- Clear, confident communicator, able to present performance results and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Nice to have
- Experience with intent data platforms (e.g. 6sense, Bombora, or similar).
- Familiarity with ABM (account-based marketing) approaches.
- Experience managing team members.
What success looks like in the first 12 months
- Paid channels are generating consistent, high-quality pipeline with clear attribution.
- Budget is allocated efficiently, with a clear rationale for spend across channels.
- Reporting is clean, consistent, and trusted by marketing leadership and sales.
- Testing cadence is established and results are feeding directly into optimisation decisions.
- Strong working relationships built with Sales, Demand Gen, and Website & CRO teams.
