About the opportunity
- Act as the primary People Partner to Sales & Marketing leadership, building strong, trusted relationships and serving as a thought partner on organisational and people strategy.
- Embed the People function within the GTM organisation, ensuring people priorities are tightly aligned to commercial goals and growth plans.
- Coach and influence senior leaders to drive high performance, accountability, and effective leadership behaviours across Sales & Marketing teams.
- Lead the design, evaluation, and ongoing evolution of sales commission and incentive structures, ensuring they are fair, motivating, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.
- Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, and RevOps to ensure commission plans drive the right behaviours and support sustainable revenue growth.
- Support the implementation and governance of sales performance frameworks, including quota setting, role clarity, and performance expectations.
- Design and implement career pathways, progression frameworks, and competency models across Sales & Marketing roles.
- Partner with GTM Leadership to define what “great” looks like at each level and ensure clear development routes for high performers.
- Enable talent reviews, succession planning, and targeted development plans for critical GTM roles.
- Lead and support organisational design initiatives within GTM, including role design, team structures, and capacity planning.
- Partner with leaders through periods of growth, change, and transformation, ensuring clear communication and strong change management.
- Support workforce planning across regions (UK, USA, ROW including Netherlands & Australia), ensuring the GTM organisation scales effectively.
- Embed performance enablement processes that drive clarity, accountability, and results within Sales & Marketing teams.
- Support leaders in setting effective goals and OKRs aligned to GTM strategy.
- Use people data and insights to diagnose performance challenges and inform interventions that improve sales outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters within GTM and Sales, ensuring pragmatic, commercial, and values-led outcomes.
- Foster a high-performance, feedback-rich culture while maintaining strong engagement and retention across revenue-generating teams.
- Partner with leaders to role model Exclaimer’s values and embed them into day-to-day Sales leadership practices.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure GTM hiring aligns with capability needs, role clarity, and long-term growth plans.
- Collaborate with central People teams to deliver key people programmes and ensure consistency while allowing for GTM-specific nuance.
Skills, knowledge, and expertise
- Deep experience as a Senior HRBP or People Partner, ideally within high-growth, B2B, SaaS, or commercial environments.
- Proven experience partnering with Sales and Marketing teams, with a strong understanding of how people practices impact revenue performance.
- Hands-on experience designing or restructuring sales commission and incentive plans.
- Demonstrated success in implementing GTM career pathways, progression frameworks, and performance enablement processes.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance people-first principles with business outcomes.
- Experience managing performance effectively, including the design and execution of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) that are fair, data-driven, and outcome-focused.
- Global experience as a HRBP including UK, US and ideally EMEA/APAC.
- Confidence influencing and challenging senior leaders with credibility and pragmatism.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfort working with ambiguity, change, and pace.
