About the opportunity
- Support Exclaimer's hybrid infrastructure including on-premises systems, cloud platforms, and network connectivity across global sites.
- Assist with DNS management, certificate renewals, and business continuity documentation.
- Help manage device management platforms (Intune, Kandji) across Windows and macOS environments.
- Learn and develop scripting skills to automate routine tasks and improve consistency.
- Support IAM processes including SSO configuration, access requests, and Joiner-Mover-Leaver workflows.
- Assist with licensing compliance for M365 and other key business systems.
- Act as second-line escalation for issues our MSP cannot resolve.
- Follow ITIL-aligned change and service management practices.
- Contribute to infrastructure projects, working with the IT Lead, InfoSec, and third-party partners.
Skills, knowledge, and expertise
- Basic understanding of Windows and macOS environments, with some exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or M365. You don't need deep experience, but you should be comfortable navigating these systems and keen to learn more.
- Familiarity with device management concepts or tools like Intune or Kandji. Homelab or personal project experience counts just as much as formal work experience at this level.
- Interest in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or similar. You don't need to be writing production code, but you should see the value in automating repetitive tasks and want to develop these skills.
- Foundational understanding of networking principles including DNS, DHCP, and basic troubleshooting. Enough to diagnose common issues and know when to elevate.
- A structured approach to problem-solving and a willingness to figure things out. You try to resolve issues yourself before escalating and you know when to put your hand up and ask for help.
- Genuine enthusiasm for IT and technology, with a desire to build a career in infrastructure and operations.
