Take charge of a successful financial planning business and get a proper leadership brief to deliver, not a seat-warming title. You will steer real change that has already been mapped out at a high level, with clear outcomes and enough scope to put your stamp on how it gets done. The detail is confidential for now, but you will get it in full when we speak.
You won’t be flying solo. You will have strong support around you, so you can focus on direction, standards, and building momentum rather than getting dragged into every small issue. At the same time, you will have the trust and agency to make decisions and run things properly.
You will have a strong base salary and a tailored bonus structure that rewards delivery and outcomes. Some parts are confidential at this stage, but you will get a clear picture when we speak. This is also the kind of appointment that opens doors, because you won’t be tweaking around the edges. You will have a visible mandate, proper challenges to solve, and recognition when you land it.
Hybrid working gives you flexibility between home and the Central London office. You will be visible early on to build relationships and get under the skin of what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs tightening up.
What you will be doing:
- Lead a team of self-employed financial planners, setting clear expectations, improving consistency, and keeping people engaged and performing well.
- Oversee a high-performing operations team and bring advisers and support staff into one joined-up way of working.
- Be open-eyed about the problems, prioritise what matters, and drive the plan through to measurable outcomes.
- Put the right governance and risk management in place so growth stays controlled and standards stay high.
What you will need:
- Emotional intelligence and an empathetic leadership style that gets buy-in without losing pace.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, plus experience leading both sales and non-sales teams in wealth management.
- Strong risk management judgement and the credibility to influence experienced advisers and stakeholders.
About the company:
A successful financial planning business in Central London, with 40+ staff split between advisers and operations. It’s performing well, but it needs a senior leader to bring greater unity, tackle known issues head-on, and deliver the next stage of progress.
