This Manchester financial planning business is the epitome of different. A traditional IFA practice it isn’t. Due to growth, they’re looking for a senior pension administrator to provide a first-class service to their clients post-sale. This is a hands-on, relationship-heavy role that entails being a subject matter expert, trainer and all-round go-to person at the firm. It comes with a starting salary of up to c£35,000. There’s a bonus scheme for the referrals you’ll pick up and a company bonus scheme. They’re even building a wealth creation scheme i.e. equity. So whilst your salary will start with a 3, your income will start with a 4 (or even a 5). Plus there are lots of ongoing internal opportunities to advance.
Benefits include:
- DIS x 4
- Private Health Care
- 25 days holiday (this increases with service)
- Pension (up to 8% contribution)
- Ad-hoc bonuses for hitting company milestones
What You’ll Do:
- You’ll train/support two other junior administrators on your team and oversee training for new hires.
- You’ll be responsible for managing the relationship with the client through to completion of the case, meaning your soft skills will come on no end.
- You’ll also initiate the transfers, handle complex cases and answer queries for clients and colleagues alike.
The Company:
This is a firm with a clear mission: to give great financial planning advice whether someone has £20,000 or £250,000. Trustpilot and VouchedFor will show you they’re succeeding with that. The company’s vibe is more start-up than established. It has an energy and a restlessness to get better. It has a belief in collaboration. This isn’t somewhere where your ideas are waved away. They’ve also brought in over £100m AUM in the last 12 months. This success has led to major investment in its infrastructure (people and technology). It has paraplanners, a head of client journey, success managers and so on, meaning that you’ll have the support of many other brilliant, helpful people.
What You’ll Need:
- You’ll need admin experience within financial planning. The firm is thinking more IFA/financial planning experience than provider, but they’re an open-minded bunch.
- You’ll have a solid grounding in pensions (particularly pension consolidation).
- Knowledge of the Aviva platform would be ideal; knowledge of other platforms is key if not.
- As a client-facing role, you’ll have great communication skills and enjoy mentoring others.
- You’ll be motivated by working for a firm with a mission. It is a young, energetic, vibrant outfit and that will be important to you too.
- You will want to and enjoy working in an office environment. The offices are fantastic and you’ll know that working with your team will aid your development like nothing else.
If you don’t have a CV don’t worry - we can come to that later. Everyone will receive a reply.
