There are sales jobs where you inherit a patch and spend the next 12 months explaining why someone else’s numbers weren’t very good.
This isn't one of them.
You’ll take over an established Scotland & Northern Ireland territory that achieved 130%+ of its platform target in 2025 and is already running ahead of target again this year.
And you won’t be doing it alone.
You’ll work alongside two successful BDMs, sharing responsibility for growing platform and investment business across an existing panel of financial adviser firms.
- THE PACKAGE
- Basic salary up to £55,000
- Bonus of around £25,000 at target
- Additional cash incentives for winning new adviser firms
- 10% non-contributory pension
- 26 days’ holiday
- Private medical insurance
- 4x life assurance
- Flexible benefits
- Fully remote working
- THE JOB
You’ll manage relationships with financial planning firms across Scotland and Northern Ireland, spotting opportunities to increase flows, supporting campaigns and working closely with your external BDM colleagues.
Around 75% of your focus will be platform business, with the remaining 25% around investments.
Longer term, there’s a clear route into external/field BDM positions if that’s where you want your career to go.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll need to understand the financial adviser market and know your way around platforms.
Your background might be as a
- Wealth Sales Consultant
- Internal Wholesaler
- Platform Relationship Manager
- Internal BDM / BDM Support Consultant
- Provider sales professional
- Adviser-facing relationship manager
- Financial Adviser looking to move into distribution
More important than the exact job title is that you’re commercial, credible with advisers and comfortable having sales conversations.
Level 4 Diploma qualification would be ideal, although there may be some flexibility if you’re currently working towards it.
You’ll preferably already live in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
WHY THIS ONE?
Because you’re joining a successful territory rather than being asked to rescue one.
You’ve got an established adviser panel, a major wealth management brand behind you, two high-performing BDMs alongside you and a package worth around £80,000 at target.
For someone already working in provider/platform sales, it’s a very good next move.
And if you’re an adviser who enjoys building relationships and winning business more than writing suitability reports, it might be an interesting change of direction too.
