What’s up doc? When you lead others, what’s the best bit? Mentoring, training and personal development would likely come high in the list. Targets, performance plans and telling someone to shape or ship out wouldn’t. So how about a leadership role where you won’t be worrying about income production or targets? Where you’ll be listening, guiding and coaching - not number crunching, pressure and performance plans. In short, all carrot and no stick. Sounds liberating doesn’t it?
At this business that’s exactly what you’ll do. You’ll lead a team of up to 15 employed financial planners who in turn provide high quality advice to the firm’s clients. Your focus will be on the quality of that advice, not the income it produces. In fact you won’t have an income target at all. You’ll work from home managing your team who themselves are remote. You’ll have a salary of between £60,000 and £70,000 and will earn an annual bonus of c£10,000.
Benefits
- 10% pension contribution
- Private health cover
- Income protection
The Company
The firm is a national business with a strong reputation across platforms and financial planning. They offer what you expect - excellent benefits, countless internal opportunities, brand - but also what you might not expect. It’s a good place to work - their approach to targets demonstrates that.
Here’s what you’ll need
- You will be level 4 qualified. Advice at the firm is pension and investment focused so these are important areas of technical knowledge.
- You’ll have experience of leading financial planners but you don’t need to have managed sizeable teams.
- This is a home based job. Experience of that, or managing remote advisers, would be useful, but not imperative.
- You’ll love coaching and developing others. You’ll have a "client first" approach. And you’ll love seeing others succeed and develop under you. Knowing that in some way, they wouldn’t have got there without you. Or your carrots.
