Like the idea of selling an investment proposition you can actually stand behind? Not just "another" MPS. No apologising for performance. No trying to book meetings for products you wouldn’t back yourself. This is a role where the proposition does the heavy lifting. Where the bonus is meaningful. And there’s a clear pathway to getting out of the office and into the field.

At this firm, you’ll be promoting a well-established investment proposition to financial planning firms across the UK. This includes a top performing MPS and various multi-asset portfolios (with active and passive strategies). You won’t be doing this in isolation. You’ll work closely with regional Wealth Account Managers on a shared target. Most of this will come through existing clients, but you will develop new ones too. With smaller advice firms you'll take the lead. When you uncover a larger opportunity with serious AUM potential you won’t be left to handle it alone. You’ll go out with the Investment Director to meet the client face to face. And as for that pathway, they have that sorted too. The plan is for you to spend 2–3 years in this role before moving into a field-based business development position.

THE COMPANY: This is a major UK wealth management firm that manages £100bn+. It’s widely regarded as one of the strongest platforms and investment providers in the UK. This matters. In business development and investment sales, you’re only as good as your product. This one sells itself far more easily than most.

PACKAGE:

  • Salary up to £67,700 (depending on experience)
  • Bonus up to 50% of salary
  • Hybrid working (3 days in the London office)
  • 26 days holiday
  • Non-contributory pension (with option to boost)
  • Private medical (with family options)
  • Life assurance (4x salary)
  • Income protection (75% of salary after 26 weeks)
  • Flexible benefits you can tailor

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED: You need to have experience in investment sales (multi-asset, MPS or broader investments). You'll have the ability to understand and articulate an investment proposition quickly. You'll need to hold Level 4 Diploma in financial planning (IMC Level 4 is also fine). Plus you’ll be confident speaking to advisers, commercially curious and comfortable building relationships over time, not chasing quick wins.
