Our client based in Astmoor, Runcorn is seeking a Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. You will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments. You will play an essential part in maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting the overall efficiency of the accounts payable function, and with that, creating a set of processes and procedures to improve ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain and update supplier records within the accounting system
  • Handle supplier queries and build strong working relationships
  • Assist with month-end processes and reporting
  • Create SOPs (Service Operational Procedures)
  • Support administrative duties commensurate with the post

Skills and Requirements

  • Previous experience in purchase ledger, invoicing, accounts payable, or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good numerical and reconciliation skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and colleagues
