We’re recruiting for a Warehouse Operative for our client in Warrington. This is a permanent opportunity and a chance to build on your skills.
Main Job Purpose: As a warehouse operative, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. The role requires maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while working as part of a team.
Key Tasks:
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately according to company procedures
- Label, wrap, and prepare goods for dispatch
- Unload and load vehicles safely and efficiently
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and, where licensed, forklifts
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and free from hazards
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
What we're looking for:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience
- Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems
- Good communication, numeracy & literacy skills
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance, Reach, or bendy truck) is not essential, but would be an advantage
- Comfortable with heavy lifting
