We’re recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer on behalf of our client to support the site Quality Management System (QMS), lead corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across products, processes and customer performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve the site QMS and ensure compliance (AS9100 / NADCAP)
  • Lead non-conformance investigations and corrective actions (8D and other tools)
  • Plan/complete internal audits and support/host external certification audits
  • Work closely with Production on inspection, skills matrix and “zero defect” culture
  • Support NPI/First Offs, PPAP (when required), contract review, data-cards, CoCs and shipment release
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance; maintain approved supplier controls
  • Support Lean / Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events and KPI/customer scorecard reporting
  • Liaise with freight forwarding partner to support import/export compliance

Requirements

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) plus 5+ years in quality/operations within manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of SPC, variation control, process capability and data‑led problem solving
  • Experience with APQP tools (FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP) and ideally DOE
  • Supervisory/people management experience
  • Lean/Kaizen capability; Six Sigma/ASQ certification beneficial
  • Confident communicator with strong customer and cross‑functional stakeholder skills
  • ISO 9001 and calibration knowledge beneficial

This is a permanent role, with a salary of between ÂŁ35,000 to ÂŁ40,000 per year.
