Opportunity Senior Legal Project Manager (Disputes / Transactions Practice Group). The role supports legal project management of large, complex, and multi‐jurisdictional matters, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of structured legal project management on large, complex or multi‐jurisdictional matters.
  • Assist with scoping, planning, reporting, budgeting, fee monitoring and status updates internally and to clients.
  • Coordinate project kick‐off, design and implementation of budgets, and compliance monitoring for financial disciplines.
  • Support billing, WIP management, data population and metrics development to analyse matter performance.
  • Draft pitch content and collateral; manage external service providers and local counsel.
  • Provide training and demos on LPM tools for associates, senior associates and business services.
  • Mentor junior team members and conduct quality control of their work.
  • Provide additional assistance to business on client matters and internal projects as required.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Contribute to practice group financial metrics by managing revenue leakage and enhancing matter profitability.
  • Maintain high stakeholder engagement with partners, lawyers, practice managers, PAs and business services colleagues.
  • Increase operational capability of fee earners and PAs.
  • Receive positive client feedback and contribute to winning new work.
  • Create and disseminate sustainable operational best practices within relevant Practice Groups.
  • Effectively leverage broader LPM and Legal Technology capabilities on firm‐wide or Practice Group projects.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • 3–4 years post‐degree experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Understanding of legal process and typical work product.
  • Numerate, with the ability to convert complex/raw data into concise actionable intelligence.
  • Confident training and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all seniority levels.
  • Excellent communication skills – summarising complex issues verbally and in writing and liaising directly with clients and the Disputes Practice Group.
  • Strong analytical ability and sound judgement to balance multiple factors and solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and understanding of key financial performance indicators.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft 365 Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBi, SharePoint.
  • High IT literacy and aptitude for learning new systems and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy, situational awareness, high attention to detail, organized mindset and strong time‐management principles.
  • Determination, resilience, persistence and prioritisation of demanding workloads on international projects.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using a financial practice management system (e.g., Elite, Aderant Expert).
  • Experience with PowerBi or Power Automate tools for analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of law firm economics.
  • Experience with legal technologies such as collaboration software, automation and AI.
  • Language skills in the Asia Region (Mandarin, Indonesian, Bahasa, Japanese, Korean, Thai).
  • Experience working within an international team on global projects.
