The Digital Finance Solicitor will work closely with the HSF Kramer Digital Finance senior team as part of a highly successful and growing banking and finance legal team in Belfast. The role involves handling a variety of finance transactions across specialist areas such as real estate finance, securitisation and leveraged finance. The successful candidate will also develop strong business relationships with key clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in financing deals, including conducting company searches, drafting corporate authorisations and ancillary documents, drafting security and other transaction documents, managing conditions precedent and assisting with document execution at closing.
  • Assist in outsourcing negotiation projects, reviewing and negotiating finance documents such as banking bilateral documents, trade finance documents, NDAs and release letters.
  • Collaborate with other HSF Kramer practice groups across the global network to deliver high‑quality legal services on appropriate projects or transactions.
  • Supervise trainees or legal analysts as directed by senior staff on complex matters.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant law areas and ensure compliance with financial disciplines (e.g., daily time recording).
  • Provide additional assistance to the business on client matters and related tasks as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Newly qualified solicitor (or expected to qualify by September 2026) in England and Wales or Northern Ireland. Candidates from the Republic of Ireland or other common‑law jurisdictions will be considered; willingness to requalify if required.
  • Experience working in a legal environment, ideally a private practice law firm or in‑house.
  • Knowledge and experience of Banking & Finance transactional work, either during a training contract or as a paralegal.
  • Desirable: Experience in a private practice law firm or in‑house environment.

  • Travel: Limited travel, including to the HSF Kramer London office, may be required from time to time.
